Our Client a major player within the Media industry requires a Test Manager on a long term contractual basis (potentially 2 years) based in Central London, UK.JOB PURPOSE
Coordinate test and QA activity for new media sales and trafficking system. Responsible for outlining the test strategy, principles and environment for this strategic project as well as managing all test activities with both onshore and offshore teams. Working with Programme leads and Project Managers to ensure that testing is carried out to agreed standards across the project. This includes all elements of testing including functional and non-functional elements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Outlining test strategy for the project including all test principles, environment, data and test tool requirements.
Leading testing function including managing internal testing and providing QA function for offshore teams.
Responsible for defining and ensuring adherence to all different test levels including functional and non-functional test streams.
Working with development partners and internal teams to ensure best practice.
Defining future test principles including introducing automation where appropriate.
Responsible for stakeholder management and communication relating to all test phases.
Test planning, issue prioritisation and resolution.
The successful candidate should have experience of:
- Defining and implementing testing strategies for large financially critical projects
- Practical experience of test stage design, planning and execution including user acceptance testing
- Experience of agile project methodology and test principles.
- Up to date knowledge of industry testing methods and techniques
- Practical experience of the use of tools for test management and test automation
A recognised formal qualification in QA/test management

- Experience with automation and performance testing tools such as Selenium-RC, JUnit or TestNG, Avalanche or JMeter valuable
- Experience of exploratory testing
- Experience of risk management and its relation to testing
- Knowledge of accessibility testing to W3C standards
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and how the test function fits into this
