Oracle OSM Consultant (100% Telecommute)

Description

We currently have a 6 month plus telecommute contract opening with our direct Fortune 500 client for a Senior Software Developer who will be designing and developing software solutions using Oracle OSM (Order and Service Management) that supports order orchestration across the telecommunications business. The employee will proactively support department and organizational strategies and tactics in a timely and professional manner.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Analyzing systems to define and document statuses, needs, design plan, etc.

Design, develop, test and deploy custom software solutions for back office

Work with Oracle OSM to design, develop and maintain cartridges to support the order quote to cash process.

Hands-on integration and experience using JMS, XML, SOAP, XSLT, xQuery, etc.

Development experience using languages like Java, Perl, SQL, PHP and Shell

Interacting on a daily basis with internal business owners, 3rd parties and Quality Assurance team

Scheduling and leading technical meetings across organizational boundaries

Shepherding the Business-to-Business integrations from Development to Quality Assurance and then into Production

Providing project-level summaries to executives on a regular basis

Communicating with a broad cross-section of groups and/or individuals to conduct needs analysis, define and refine design specifications

Provide support for critical production OSS applications as needed

Ability to work in a fast paced development environment

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Five years Software Development experience in an environment employing industry-standard methodologies (example - Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, etc...)

Hands-on experience building and deploying systems integrations in an SOA paradigm

Hands-on experience with Oracle OSM 7.x, including developing cartridges, OSM extensions, and OSM plugins.

Experience with XML, XSLT, xQuery, SOAP, JMS, Oracle AQ, to facilitate system integration and communication.

Experience with Workflow Engines

Proficiency programming in Java, J2EE, JSP and client/server environments

Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, XML and Web applications and Web services

Experience working with and developing for Oracle database.

Experience with configuring Weblogic/OSM in a Solaris environment.

Experience with Weblogic (in a clustered environment).

Experience with Spring framework

Experience with Hibernate or other ORM

Exposure to and understanding of the Telecom industry highly preferred
