A top financial firm is looking for a Senior Technical Specialist to assist the Run-The-Bank team in their New York City office. If this role were to be perm they envision it a Senior AVP or Junior VP.This will be a 6+ month contract that may be extended or turned full time. The rate is also based on experience, but they are looking to pay a Senior consultant.
The main function of this position is to work closely with the Development team in a Run-The-Bank capacity to onboard all aspects of a new business critical valuation service for the Credit Derivatives business into RTB. This position will be responsible for understanding the processes and flows, utilizing current tools to implement monitoring solutions, implement support documentation and automation where possible. This person will also train the Global RTB teams on this new service while utilizing Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices.
Main Duties:
- Obtain and end to end understanding of all components and technologies utilized for this service
- Implement monitoring solutions utilizing Splunk and RTView
- Fully document all aspects of the service including processes, flows, and troubleshooting steps to ensure minimal Business impact when failures occur
- Onboard autosys jobs and ensure all requirements are followed
Requirements:
- Energetic and motivated, willing to take on challenging tasks
- Strong technical knowledge of middleware
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Oracle preferred
- Strong knowledge of Unix, specficically scripting
- Working and implementing experience with Splunk
- Knowledge and experience with ITIL concepts and best practices
