Description
A Senior Network System Administrator is required to join a consultancy company based in Newcastle providing mobile network solutions to global clients.Contract length: 3-6 months Start Date: ASAP
Main Responsibilities
- Ability to diagnose faults and offer solutions across a broad range of IT and communication systems with an emphasis on Cisco networking equipment
- Design, implement and support highly available complex network solutions in diverse system environments
- Design, implement and support complex communications infrastructure
- Planning and developing new systems to meet customer requirements
- Analysing and implementing security policies and best practices
- IP network configuration
- Performance tuning, usage trending and analysis for pre-emptive maintenance and growth of systems
Essential Technical Skills
Cisco
- Routers ISR/ASR grade

- HSRP/OSPF
- GRE/IPSEC Tunnels
- NAT
- VLANs
- Security
- NBAR
- QOS
Monitoring systems
- Nagios/Groundworks (or equivalent system)
