Senior Java/C# Developer Wanted For a Prestigious Fixed Income Front Office Position -GlasgowFantastic position at global investment bank for a superb and experienced Java Developer, that is also adept at using C#.
You will be joining a leading team working on the strategic fixed income sales trading platform. This supports a number of functions e.g. trade entry and lifecycle event management across cash (bond), credit derivative, and interest rate derivative products. This global application is multi-tier with a C# GUI supported by a Java service layer and Sybase database.
Therefore, you should have both GUI and server side experience - as well as solid design (OO) and architectural experience. You will be focussing on introducing new products and features to the platform. As a senior position you will also be taking part in mentoring junior team members, recruiting, and participating in wider initiatives.
This is an exciting position for a senior developer that would like to progress their career in a front-office role, and take on more responsibilities for a great team.
Prerequisites for the job:
- 10+ years professional IT experience
- 10+ years professional Java experience
- 7+ years professional C# experience
- Strong design fundamentals (OO, patterns, etc)
- Strong XML knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Leadership capabilities
- Sybase/DB2 Skills
- MQ
- Unix/Linux scripting
- Fixed income knowledge
- Knowledge of FpML
