Our client is seeking an experienced IT Support Professional to provide end user support on 1st & 2nd line basis on client site in Harrow .This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a renowned leader in the industry and flourish in a hard working environment boasting a host of like minded professionals. As the IT Support Professional you will be required to maintain computer systems for end users / resolve problems with speed and accuracy.
Key responsibilities:
*Place follow-up calls to users regarding ongoing issues whilst maintaining good customer focus.
*Diagnose, fix and install hardware and software.
*Provide telephone support to clients within the Company:troubleshoot users' issues / problems / requests / questions as they arise
*Visit other offices / sites to implement hardware / software fixes / updates
*Set up new site offices (with support from other members of IT)
*Set up new PC's / Laptops / Printers ready for distribution
Requirements
*In depth understanding of how PC's & Laptops work and methods to troubleshoot / fix them on a 1st & 2nd line basis.
*Good working knowledge of MS Exchange 2010, Outlook and active directories administration.
*good understanding of Windows server .
*Excellent understanding of Windows 7/XP and Office 2010 including Windows group policies.
*Application fundamentals.
*Windows Patching and software distribution management.
*Knowledge of networking (principles and performance).
*Understanding of printers and how to troubleshoot them.
*Imaging Techniques.
*Remote management tools.
*Diagnostic utilities and other research tools for troubleshooting and issue resolution.
*Internet know-how for accessing software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, FAQs, etc.
*Exposure to installation and configuration of antivirus software.
*HP/Dell server experience would be beneficial.
*Knowledge of Novell Netware 6 and Novell GroupWise 8 would be advantageous.

*2 minimum years experience in a similar role
*Confident, approachable team player who uses their initiative
*Good communication skills
*Self-motivated with a methodical approach to a busy workload
*Good organisational skills
*Willing to travel throughout the UK
*Full, clean driving licence
