Web Manager

Role

The Web Project Manager will be primarily focused on ensuring that the client's business as usual activity continues to the highest standards and that all project activity is managed within formal structures, to ensure delivery on time, within budget and providing value for money.  This will involve all aspects of project management including planning and scheduling, issues and risks management and evaluation.

  • To inspire, lead and develop the Web Team, both in delivering business as usual activity and project work;
  • To manage multiple, concurrent, projects including the Web project, Marketing Pages project and Web project;
  • To manage the work of appointed external agencies and contractors to ensure delivery of work on time, within budget and ensure value for money;
  • To manage the Faculty Web Project Board and provide professional advice and expertise where required;
  • To provide professional support and advice to the Leadership Team

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Relevant professional qualification (equivalent to NVQ level 5) or equivalent experience;
  • Experience of developing and implementing digital strategies to support the achievement of organisational goals;
  • Experience of using the T4 Content Management System
  • Relevant experience of developing content in digital forms, including social media, to support communications and marketing objectives
  • Experience working in a communications/public relations environment.

Project Management

  • A proven track record of leading and managing a team to deliver complex and large-scale website design and development  projects (ideally in a HE environment);
  • Extensive experience of delivering multiple and concurrent projects in a web environment with previous experience of managing projects through the full Project Life Cycle;

People Management

  • Extensive people management experience; the role holder must be comfortable managing teams of eight or more people;
  • Significant experience of team development, including professional and personal development for self and others.
  • Ability to motivate the project team to meet often tight deadlines;

This is a fixed term contract for 10 months.
