Description
My client has an urgent requirement for a GIS Spatial Analyst to undertake key components of data manipulation and interrogation and generating new City Plan maps. The role requires well developed knowledge around ESRI v9.3.1 skills and the ability to wokr to a high level of spatial accuracy to create predefined mapping products. This is an initial 2 month contract based in the CBD.
To be successful in this position you will have the following skills and experience:
- Sound knowledge of one or more of the following areas gained through tertiary study or practical experience: regional, metropolitan and local planning, urban renewal, urban design, urban policy development infrastructure coordination and community engagement.
- High level working knowledge of ESRI v9.3.1
- Ability to apply conceptual and analytical skills to strategic planning issues.
- Highly developed cartographic skills that pertain to map production, data analysis and manipulation using Geographical Information Systems as well as maintain the organisations urban growth database.
