Title: Eracent ConsultantLocation: Solon, OH 44139Duration: 3 months Project Scope: The scope of KPMG's work will include assistance in the continued deployment of Eracent Enterprise Entitlements Management and Enterprise Lifecycle Management for software assets, to document and validate: discovery by EAM, reconciliation by EEM, and SAM data capture by ELM. KPMG Will:

  • Document Eracent module integration within established processes and procedures
  • Populate software purchase history into ELM
  • Populate active contracts into ELM
  • Validate the reconciliation of entitlements against deployments, as performed by EEM
  • Identify and remediate deficiencies within the Eracent modules and connecting toolsets

Detailed Job Description:

PhasesActivities and Deliverables
Plan the phased contract/product implementation
  • Develop/publish project staffing model and timeline
  • Identify SAM events within Client's environment and document event dependent data
  • Research and assess Eracent interaction with SAM events
  • Identify SAM event reporting needs
  • Assist in the determination of 10 software products to map the entitlement reconciliation in EEM
  • Assist in the determination of 10 initial contracts for input into ELM
  • Assist in the determination of procurement history sources available for import into ELM
  • Generate a map-table for 1,000 unique procurement or vendor product records to normalize asset data for import into ELM
Configure, Interpret, Test and Validate
  • Document enhancement opportunities identified within the Eracent modules and assist in the prioritization and presentation of results to Eracent for product enhancement requests
  • *Document process integration, to include: receipt, issuance, discovery, renewal, reconciliation and disposal
  • Assist in the interpretation and documentation of 10 contracts within ELM
  • Conduct internal audit of Microsoft products using EAM data following KPMG compliance methodology to validate Eracent out of box counters
  • Identify purchased products, based on the procurement records and/or Client provided list, not detected by EAM
  • Produce EAM scan data, as documented by Eracent, to have Eracent build detection capability for software products identified as installed, but not detected by EAM
  • Assist in identifying gaps in asset data and import normalized procurement data into ELM
  • Validate the identified SAM event reports are available in Eracent and document deficiciencies
Develop related supporting processes, Ready the organization
  • *Document processes and work instructions to allow for data retention and capture the Eracent modules lack capability
  • *Document organization changes required for ongoing ELM and EEM tool and process support
  • *Provide recommendations for existing releational tool improvements to enhance reporting capabilities
  • *Develop action plan to identify tactical fixes that can be made to increase performance and data availability (scanning integrated into the application release management function)
  • *Develop deployment reports for 25 selected software products.
  • *Develop training material and conduct 2 training sessions for the ongoing administration of the tools and enhanced discovery process
