Be the Security expert in a small to medium sized federal government agency based in Civic.

Be required to:

  • Perform ICT security compliance activities:
  • Security risk assessments of ICT infrastructure and business systems
  • System security plans
  • System certification audits
  • Development of ICT security policies
    • Perform ICT security operations activities:
  • Monitor, investigate and report on cyber threats and incidents
  • Review system configuration change requests
  • Develop ICT security reports
    • Liaise with technical and business stakeholders:
  • Provide specialist technical advice
  • Provide strategic advice for improving compliance and reducing risks of cyber threats

    • SELECTION CRITERIA due by 4 April 2013.

    • Commonwealth Government security standards experience
    • conduct ICT security assurance reviews
    • work with clients to identify and implement solutions
    • use ICT security monitoring tools
    • analyse ICT security threats and incidents and conduct investigations
    • undertake gateway and system certifications
    • work with technical teams and agency staff to provide specialist advice
    • communication and negotiation skills
    • ability to write reports and report on technical matters to a variety of audiences

    NEGATIVE VETTING 1 level security clearance

    Australian citizen.

    The initial contract offered will be in force until 30 June 2014.
