DUTIES

  • Develop and maintain the application and technology architecture for specific business functional areas in compliance with the enterprise architecture;
  • Provide oversight on the architecture and design of applications within a line of business;
  • Participate in assignments concerning development of target conceptual and logical architectures for applications;
  • Participate in project and design reviews to evaluate and ensure that the design being applied meets policies, principles, and standards;
  • Review and align product choices to avoid redundant effort and ensure that enterprise architecture standards are met;
  • Stay abreast of new and innovative trends in the solution architecture discipline; and
  • Provide technical advice to other ISB staff and participate in skills transfer as required and mentor junior staff.

  • Knowledge of delivery of IT services across an international deployed network.
  • Knowledge of systems used for the delivery of international aid programs.

Selection criteria due 8 April 2013 - Important: All of the numbered criteria below must be addressed individually as part of your application

  • Demonstrated ability to visualise, articulate, plan and document complex technical problems, solutions and concepts for commercial-off-the-shelf and custom built applications.
  • Sound experience in technology, application and information architecture, service oriented architecture, relational databases and data warehousing, network design.
  • Sound understanding of business and technology trends and capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience in architecture and technical design documentation both conceptual and logical.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with senior management, business users, 3rd party vendors and technical staff.
  • Ability to work both individually and as part of a team of professionals with a diverse range of skills.
