In this role, the Sr. Windows GUI application Developer will participate as a member of the risk analysis team and will develop Windows GUI Applications which evaluate risk analysis calculations. The applications communicate with databases and web services to gather and present data in tables and in graphics for analysis by the users
The candidate will be directed to enhance the applications by adding well-defined smallish features quickly to provide immediate benefits to the user community
- The platform is Windows using Visual Studio .NET. Third party libraries include the use of SyncFusion Essential Studio for .NET controls and Liquid XML for SOAP message parsing
- The candidate should have a strong background in Windows GUI application development, whether .NET or MFC
- The candidate must be able to quickly read and understand existing code
- The candidate should also have strong application design and Object Oriented programming skills, as a proper design of new software features is required to provide easier maintenance and easier extensibility as the software grows
- Strong Microsoft SQL Server experience is required
- Experience in finance and the finance industry is a plus
