Description
- Develop, recommend, and execute well work-over and drilling programs to improve storage well deliverability.
- Insure mechanical integtity for exisitng storage and observations wells, and develop and executue as-needed well remediation programs.
- Provide cost estimates for well operations, repairs and modifications; Manage AFE's, purchasing, cost control, supervision of contractors, and quality control.
- Supervise and manage third party drilling, completion and work-over contractors.
- Provide technical support to operations in regards to compliance, environmental and safety audit.
- Prepare annual operating and capital budgets for gas storage facilities.
- Develop and conduct well tests or reports to comply with existing regulatory permits; confer with regulatory agencies and submit reports as necessary.
- Conduct and review geological, reservoir, and well test evaluation reports and studies.
- Maintain Emergency Response Plans and Regulatory Compliance Programs.
- Maintain records for storage facility operations, modifications and construction, storage well drilling, completion and work-overs.
- Provide technical and compliance support to Operations and Business Development as required.
- Adhere to effective internal controls.
Requirements
- Requires a broad knowledge of drilling and production engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Reservoir, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering +
- 10 + years related experience in the oil and gas industry.
Preference may be given to candidates with the following:
- Gas storage experience
