Description
A global pharmaceutical company based inSurreyis looking for an experienced Scientific Adviser to join the team for a 3 month contract.The main purpose of the role is to provide scientific support to healthcare professionals and professional bodies through scientific communications and support for clinical research to act as a bridge between the Client and the healthcare community. To provide specialist scientific advice to colleagues and support the appropriate use and success of the Clients products.
Key Accountabilities-
- Working with colleagues to support implementation of accurate, balanced and credible promotional materials, educational programmes and meetings.
- To acquire and maintain in-depth scientific knowledge of Client medicines within nominated therapy areas as well as of key competitors.
- To provide scientific input into market research activities.
- To participate in the training of field-based colleagues on nominated products and competitors. To support the development of field force briefings and backgrounders.
- To ensure inclusion of accurate and comprehensive product evidence in guidelines and protocols produced by external professional bodies in collaboration with regional brand teams, OR-EBM and HTA groups. To provide scientific input into HTA dossiers
Required Experience-
- Science or pharmacy degree
- Excellent scientific and technical expertise
- Industry/NHS experience or knowledge, commercial appreciation desirable
- In depth knowledge of the ABPI Code and experienced Code approver
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good presentation skills
- Good time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
