Finite Canberra has a Government Client that is seeking an Experienced Senior Unix System Administrator. This is a contract role from the 1st of July 2013 to the 30th of June 2014.As the ideal candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:
- At least 5 years System Administration experience with medium to large Government Organisations in the support and maintenance of one or more of the Unix platforms:
- IBM AIX v6 and v7;
- Redhat Linux v5 and v6;
- Oracle Solaris;
- Proven ability to engage with senior stakeholders and maintain relationships, particularly in relation to the supported Unix infrastructure;
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities;
- Proven ability to build and maintain ICT and business stakeholder relationships within a challenging environment;
- As part of the skills transfer component of the role, proven ability to mentor personnel;
- An understanding of SOA Architecture;
- High level strategic analytical ability;
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
- Strong technical and personal leadership skills at a senior level;
- Knowledge/familiarity with release environments in the public sector;
Please note Candidates must be of Australian Citizenship to be considered.
Baseline Vetting Security Clearance is also required.
