Main Responsibilities:

Leadership
- Lead a small team in the delivery of a business partner model.
- Be responsible for fully implementing, embedding and delivering the FBP culture into their directorates. Through their understanding of their directorates' business they will influence the senior leaders on the approach and methodology most applicable to the circumstances.
- Ensure that their directorates' financial planning applies the appropriate investment appraisal analysis and is Green Book compliant for project and programme expenditure.
- Be responsible for delivering financial change into the directorates and making sure that the directorates are fully engaged in the change process.

Resource Planning/Budgeting
- Working alongside directors, senior managers and budget holders to ensure all resource/budget needs are identified and are appropriately resourced to deliver corporate objectives through the annual budgeting process.
- Ensuring that robust business cases and benefits registers are in place and monitored to support future savings plans and the delivery of Spending Review objectives.
- Being responsible for developing and implementing new models for resource planning, always trying to improve the efficiency in which Ofsted utilises its resources and specialist skills.

Monthly Reporting
- Be responsible for the preparation of accurate monthly financial report for the Directorates and their divisions.
- Report on the financial position of major contracts and provide guidance and support to project and programme managers in their directorates on their monthly reporting requirements.
Investment Appraisal and Benefits Realisation
- Ensure that decisions are made on robust financial analysis and that the benefits are fully monitored and realised.

Divisional support
- Act as the point of contact on things such as internal and external audit, and compliance matters.

Contract Management
- Responsible for the financial aspects of contract management.
- Ensure managers are fully appraised of the expenditure and that the risks and opportunities are fully understood.
