Reporting directly to the UX/UI Manager, the role calls for someone who enjoys being part of a hard working team, has a passion for UI, and views learning as a continuous process.Key responsibilities:
• Construct user interfaces using contemporary development technologies (HTML/CSS, etc.), including integration with engineering.
• Work within a fast-moving UX/UI team to improve or create user experiences through quality and intuitive design.
• Implement & maintain localization projects
• Work closely with interaction designers and software developers on the production team.
• Day-to-day tasks include working with JavaScript, CSS layouts and creating HTML layouts that cater for multiple languages.
Required skills and experience:
• A minimum of three years working experience in a similar role, preferably having a Bachelors Degree of education in Information Technology or equivalent accreditation.
• Fluent in HTML and CSS technologies. Hand-coding ability is a must.
• Skilled in working with JavaScript, primarily the jQuery library.
• Can handle cross-browser integration.
• An eye for detail where every pixel matters.
• Excellent communication skills with complete fluency in both written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of templating technologies such as Django and Jinja2.
• Be familiar with Adobe applications such as Fireworks, Photoshop and Illustrator.
