My client is an industry leading software company who supplies all the major players in the
financial industry, based in the city centre. Due to their increasing market share, and
thriving revenue they have been steadily growing in the last year. As part of this growth they
are looking to take on a Senior System Engineer to join their team. This Senior System Engineer
will have excellent Networking, Linux / UNIX , SAN and Virtualisation experience.
You will be working in a high level, mission critical environment, within the Development and
UAT (User Acceptance Environment) environment. This is a 24X7 production environment hosted in
a Data centre facility. You will get exposure to various technologies, as you will be working
on different projects. It is a very challenging, hosted environment where you will be ensuring
the service is up and running and available 24X7.
You will be joining a team of six, in a very open and friendly environment. You must be flexible
in your working style; comfortable working closely with your team mates, but also happy to handle
things on your own- and taking ownership of projects, which you will the see through to the end.
You will be the type of person who will bring new ideas to the table and implement these and new
technologies, with existing clients and as new clients come in.
Minimum Requirements:
- Strong Linux and UNIX skills
- Strong Network admin (configuring switches, firewalls, servers, Load balancers)
- SAN Storage
- Webserver -Apache experience
- Application server - Oracle weblogic 12c, IBM Web sphere
- Virtualisation
- NetBackup
