Description
An IT Security Strategy Lead is required by a large client in North Yorkshire.The role will be responsible for developing and maintaining security strategy, overseeing the development and enhancement of the strategic plan and working with key external stakeholders to ensure the plan is appropriate and consistent with the overall business and IS Strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Maintain, oversee and update the strategic security plan
* Support in the development of presentations to IS and non-IS Executives
* Review investment papers
* Develop operating support model for security investments
* Provide subject matter expertise/leadership for DR&S sponsored investment projects
* Define/enhance process flows for security strategy
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* Information Security qualifications such as CISSP CISM, M.Inst.ISP and A.Inst.ISP
* Other qualifications such as SANs, CCNA and CCNP are desirable
* Knowledge of designing and implementing technical security solutions such as IDS/IPS, secure remote access, firewalls, encryption, secure protocols, data protection, data loss prevention and identity management solutions.
* Knowledge of data and information flows, information governance, network protocols
* Experience of designing and managing security controls within service providers and the cloud
* Experience of security hardening techniques
* Prior Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) and utility industry experience is highly
