Job Description - Engagement Manager

Job Goal:

Primary responsibilities for this position include managing customer relationships, project management, sales of IBM Maximo and related software products and services to the existing customer base.

Knowledge of IBM Maximo and other EAM systems is essential in order to sell solutions to customers.


*10+ years working with implementing Maximo and/or other EAM Software

*BSc degree in Engineering preferred.

*Experience in Oil & Gas, Utilities, FM or Transportation (Rail) would be a distinct advantage.

*Experience with other EAM software desirable

*Experience of Asset and Work Management business processes.

*Clear understanding of key financial principles and processes.

*Written and spoken knowledge of English

Roles and Responsibilities:

*Reports to Projects Director.

*A self motivator, this position will involve liaising with the current customer base to identify new opportunities for software or services.

*Working with the Sales team to support proposals to new customers.

*Prepare high quality responses to RFP's

*Must be extremely strong on producing clear and concise Statements of Work.

*Oversee Maximo implementation and upgrade projects.

*Responsibility of delivering high quality Maximo implementations and retaining customers for future work.

*Manage multiple accounts concurrently

*Plan and manage large projects.

*Establish project objectives with customer and consultancy team

*Manage project scope and scope changes

*Ensure the delivery of the projects on time and within budget and quality parameters.

*Liaise with Operations Director for resourcing of projects and assignments.


*Working from home, the role will involve a considerable amount of local travel (50%) usually for one day or short duration trips.

Targets and Compensation

*Targets : £1.3m services and £250k of software

*Base salary : based on experience : £50k - £60k

*Variable : £25k - £30k split i.e. 2.5% commission on software and first year support and 2% on services revenue.
