The Structures Product Group Systems Engineer will be required to work within the Systems Engineering team to carry out systems engineering activities associated with new product development within the Structures Product Group.

This will include specifying, developing and qualifying equipment in line with developing business and customer needs throughout the project life cycle for various Air-to-Air Refuelling projects and equipment in-line with company processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
* Management and delivery of allocated equipment within the subsystem.
* Requirements capture, allocation, derivation and validation.
* Preparation of specifications and other project documentation.
* Sub-system and equipment architecture definition; design and analysis.
* Interface definition and management.
* Preparation and scheduling of internal design reviews.
* Product integration.
* Technical liaison and management of external suppliers.
* Verification and qualification of equipment (in conjunction with Engineering Development & Test Engineers).
* Liaison with customers, internal and external.
* Liaison with specialists such as design, performance and ILS engineers required to support delivery of the product/equipment.

Your qualifications and experience should include:
* Degree in mechanical, systems or aeronautical engineering or equivalent.
* Demonstrated experience in development of aircraft structure and/or structural elements from concept through to qualification and certification.
* Experience of certification of airframe structures with the relevant authorities (eg FAA, CAA, EASA, MoD, etc).
* Good understanding of stress and vibration methodology and analyses.
* Good aerospace systems engineering background and proven record of complex technical programme delivery.
* Experience of requirements management using tools such as DOORS or Cradle.
* Understanding of development and certification of complex systems (ARP4754).
* Knowledge of and ability to effectively apply systems engineering life cycle processes (ISO15288).
