I am currently on the lookout for electronics engineers with significant experience of FPGA development in VHDL.
The role is working for a large aerospace company on a project for onboard aircraft equipment. To achieve this you will apply your excellent coordination and technical skills with responsibilities including schedule development, progressing and reporting; monitoring and reviewing output to ensuring work is in line with DO-254 plans and applicable procedures; and ensuring all required FPGA process reviews and audits are passed with expedient resolution of any actions.
You will also make a key contribution to continuous improvement of Firmware methods, processes, procedures and tools.
Key skills:
-5years+ experience FPGA/ Firmware development
- A strong FPGA or ASIC design background, including chip specification, RTL code design (ideally VHDL), simulation and synthesis; familiarity with methods, tools and technologies.
Non-essential but beneficial skills:
- FPGA experience acquired in a DO-254 environment or similar (e.g. space, nuclear or rail).
- Familiarity with requirements management (preferably DOORS) or code version control tools.
- Experience of FPGA applications in electrical motor control or electrical power systems.
