Primary responsibilities are to provide secondary/backup application and system support to our proprietary software Call Delivery System.

Experience in coding languages/Scripting is a must. Prior experience with Cisco Call Management systems and associated networking configurations is strongly desired. Must possess good testing and customer service skills and be willing to be oncall 24 X 7.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years Software Engineering experience (Development, Support, System Administration, DBA)
  • Proficiency in Remedy Action Request System® design, development, implementation and administration
  • Proficiency in UNIX OS
  • Proficiency in Relational Databases (Oracle, Microsoft Access
  • Knowledge of some sort of Scripting language (ie, K-Shell, etc.
  • Knowledge of Information Analysis & Seagate Crystal Reports software
  • Strong working knowledge of systems development methodologies
  • Disciplined and structured testing procedures
  • Project Management principles (planning, scheduling, monitoring, controlling) Project Management experience with working knowledge of Project Workbench
  • Strong Leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem resolution skills
  • Strong control and follow-up skills
  • Motivation/Influence management
  • Working knowledge of business processes
  • Basic telecommunications and wireless industry knowledge (highly preferred)

External Description:

General Summary:

This position exists primarily to provide innovative, cost-effective solutions to complex business and technical problems relating to process workflows and process management. The incumbent conducts feasibility studies for new workflow processes or revision of existing workflow processes. Develops development estimates, schedules and presents project proposals to management and user departments. The incumbent will possess a high degree of experience and skill in the Remedy Action Request System®, including several key disciplines, such as: Client Server application systems, database administration, performance analysis and system tuning.
