Description
A Software Engineer with experience in development, testing and integration of embedded DSP for GSM/GPRS/EDGE technologies is immediately required for a client in Hampshire.The role will involve design, coding, test and integration of embedded software to support GSM/GPRS/EDGE technologies on UMTS chipset developments.
This position also offers potential exposure to advanced 3G/4G technologies.
Key skills:
Experience with developing and testing real-time Physical Layer Software in wireless communication technology.
Experienced in embedded software coding with C
Desirable:
Background in communication theory and digital signal processing with a good understanding of GSM/GPRS/EDGE and/or WCDMA physical layer.
Experience in development of GSM/GPRS/EDGE and/or WCDMA base-band DSP solution for a commercial handset or project experience in similar area at university
Experience or knowledge in development of OFDM(A) based DSP/ASIC solutions.
Experience of configuration management tools such as CVS, Perforce, Clear Case
Experience of software design tools such as SDL,UML
