The Hired Guns are seeking a Visual Designer to join the digital team of a world-class web and TV media company. You’ll be responsible for the look and feel of a fleet of cross-platform interfaces and products, and will help our client create engaging online destinations that deliver content in fresh ways.
Gun Profile
You’re a mid-level visual designer (or approaching mid-level) with experience in an interactive product-driven environment and exposure to the world of rapid prototyping. (If you’re a little less seasoned than that, but have worked on some cutting-edge stuff, we’d love to hear from you, too.) You are self-directed and love nothing better than taking the initiative and getting a project moving without a lot of hand-holding. You’re all about putting things out there and seeing what works: you solve problems by getting ideas into play, and when there’s doubt or lack of direction, you jump into the gap by cranking out ideas that are consistently strategic, well thought-out and focused on the end user’s experience.
You are passionate about human-centered design, and your products are not only beautiful, but functional and intuitive. You’ve cracked design challenges large and small, and you have discovered that sometimes the most nuanced change in look and feel can make all the difference. You’re a highly effective communicator who’s committed to defending your ideas yet open to persuasion and negotiation.
Nitty Gritty
You’ll be jumping on board with an interactive design group that is in the process of rethinking and redesigning an entire fleet of sites, so there is no lack of juicy projects to work on. Working with various cross-functional teams, you’ll produce outstanding multi-platform design solutions that increase end-user effectiveness, delight and satisfaction. And, our client is looking for a designer who strives to innovate, not replicate. If you’ve been looking for a role that allows you to truly push the boundaries of media site design, then this is the gig for you.
