A Liverpool based client is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer for an intial 6 month contract. The role: To provide 3rd line support of server, storage and data centre infrastructure. Provide 3rd line support of infrastructure services, including directory services, e-mail and messaging.Diagnosis and fault resolution of server and storage infrastructure, icluding server DAS, SAN, SAN fabric, data center infrastructure and virtualisation platform.Hardware maintenance of server and storage devicesExperience operating and configuring infrastructure services, including Micrsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Blackberry Enterprise erver, Microsoft Sharepoint and Microsoft System Center Suite Experience: At least 5 years commercial experience in an infrastructure environment.In-depth understanding of server and storage tiered architecturesUnderstanding of virtualisation Good understanding of networking principles, including switching, routing, load balancing, firewalling and multi-DMZ.
