An opportunity for an experienced Financial Reporting Planning Officer has arisen within one of the most prestigious Education Institutes in London.

My client is currently looking for an experienced Planning Officer on an interim basis to lead the planning, analysis and financial reporting within the Planning unit, whilst also leading the small Operations team.

The successful candidate will need to ensure that the systems and administration effectively support the programmes and interface with the University as a whole (HR, Finance, DMU, ITS).

The position will over see 4 main areas including Planning and Analysis, Operations, QA/Compliance and Finance. Responsibilities of the role will include:

- Providing overall strateigic support and advice when being involved with the development and implementation of new programmes.

-Expert knowledge of MS Excel and Access and all other MS applications.

- Assist on expansion plans with a particular focus on financial forecasts and medium/long term budget preparation

- Analyse current and past trends in KPI's and prepare analytical data to improve the financial and operational performance of the unit.

- Responsibility of financial operations including setting the units annual budget and ensuring they are set within the Units framework providing an annual surplus to the School.

The client is looking for an interim for an initial 4 months, with the possibility to extend or go temp to perm.
