A leading Technology provider to the Financial Services sector is looking for a Service Desk Analyst to start and initial 6 month contract.

Role title: Service Desk Analyst
Location: Chelmsford - Essex

Job Description:

Act as a single point of contact for phone calls and emails from staff regarding IT issues and queries
Receiving, logging and managing calls from external parties L&G, IFDS and Suffolk Life
1st line support - troubleshooting of IT related problems from in-house software to hardware, such as Blackberrys, Laptops and PCs
Escalate unresolved calls to the appropriate support team
Enter all calls in the Service Desk Call Logging (Contour ITSM) system
Ensuring that users are kept informed of progress with their issues and queries
Publishing support documentation to assist staff with requests for information & provide staff training if required
Reviewing & updating Service Desk documentation on a monthly basis
Obtaining quotes for equipment and stock checking
Booking out and managing loanable IT equipment
Producing weekly DAT/Anti Virus coverage reports
Active Directory Admin and Cisco Phone Admin
Mobile phone and Blackberry account management
Maintaining and updating various hardware and software inventories within the team
Room setup for meetings and providing any support required
