Description
This position requires the following skills and attributes:- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related Engineering degree.
- 5+ years of professional experience in medical device design/test.
- Experience with the software development life cycle.
- Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience with Source Code Management, Requirements Management, and Defect Tracking systems.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Participate in product design and code reviews, evaluate for testability.
- Participate in test protocol reviews, evaluate for test/code coverage and adequacy.
- Communicates proactively and effectively at all levels, ability to effectively communicate software test protocols to non-software team members.
- Proficiency with embedded control systems.
- Experience with RTOS and embedded firmware programming techniques.
- Experience providing written reports, test protocols, and engineering documentation for testing of medical devices.
- Verification of detailed software requirements.
- Programming skill and experience with C/C++.
- Experience with "white-box" testing.
- Experience with automated regression unit testing; experience with Parasoft Embedded testing desirable.
- Execute test protocols, log and track defects to closure, collaborate with team to resolve.
- Review and document test results, ensure quality records are maintained.
The following skills and attributes are preferred:
- Experience with medical device development under quality systems.
- Working understanding and use ofIEC60601,62304and ISO 13485 and 14971.
