Leading Global Solutions Provider has an immediate requirement for a WebSphere Application Server (WAS) Specialist for a contract role in Dublin.
Senior WebSphere Application Server Specialist required to implement and test complex WAS infrastructures that are highly stable, scalable and maintainable. This position will require troubleshooting and setting-up of new environments.
Experience & Skills
- Installing WebSphere Application Server (WAS) on various platforms from version V5.1 up to V8.0
- Installing IBM HTTP Server (HIS)
- Installing the WebSphere Plugin
- Administering WebSphere
- Maintaining resources as required by applications
- Understanding of Key concepts such as:
- Cell, Node, Profile, JVM, JRE,
- Server, Stand alone Server,
- WASND (WebSphere Network Deployment)
- Clustering,Clone
- High Availability
- Scalability
- Understanding of Key concepts such as:
- Cell, Node, Profile, JVM, JRE,
- Server, Stand alone Server,
- WASND (WebSphere Network Deployment)
- Clustering,Clone
- High Availability
- Scalability
- Workload management
- Deploying applications
- Application upgrades and typical issues with JDK versions
