The Role
A senior UI web designer is required at System Dynamics, Dublin. The chosen candidate will assist our client team in developing and upgrading new and existing websites. Very strong creative flare, a passion for web design and an eye for detail are essential for this role. The successful candidate will be capable of creating impressive web page designs with wow factor'. This role is very much a hands on' position where ability to quickly produce high quality web page designs is critical. The role will report to a senior web developer in the department. This is a 6 month contract with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities
- Lead UI design during the creation of new websites and upgrade of existing websites;
- Provide guidance on UX principals to team especially in the context of complex information navigation and dissemination;
- Work closely with team to produce high quality websites.
Essential Skills, Experience & Knowledge
- Demonstrable track record in producing very high quality website designs (it is important that candidates have a portfolio demonstrating very impressive website designs);
- Exceptional design and drawing skills with a keen sense of colour usage;
- Good track record in producing effective cross browser compatible web designs;
- Good knowledge of UX disciplines;
- In-depth experience with HTML and CSS;
- Good graphics skills with tools such as Photoshop;
- Experience of Javascript and AJAX;
- At least 5 years of experience.
Desirable Skills, Experience & Knowledge
- Capable of generating web designs that work well with tablets and mobile devices;
- Capable of generating responsive designs;
- Experience with Javascript libraries such as jQuery;
- Experience with Wordpress development or similar systems.
