Responsibilities
  • Designs and develops power supplies, portable chargers or other power accessories in collaborative model with ODM partner engineers; includes system design and analysis, schematic captures, simulation and specification creation.
  • Collaborates closely with Product Development Manager and Software Team to define product requirements and validate them.
  • Creates product specifications, test or supervise testing and qualify final product assembles to the company's high quality standards.
  • Works with ODM engineers to design products, oversee validation and optimize design for manufacturing.
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts for design reviews and to ensure high quality designs.
  • Plays a key engineering role within an exciting and challenging multi-functional development team
SKILLS
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of experience in consumer electronics product design. Experience in AC/DC power supply design, battery charging, digital and analog circuit design required. Must have skill in schematic capture, PCB layout optimization for noise & EMC/EMI minimization, use of test equipment for testing and trouble-shooting. Knowledge of USB charging spec revision 1.2 and power standards like those from the U.S. Department of Energy needed. A successful track record of working within ODM Engineering and Manufacturing model is required. Must have good problem solving skills with the ability to collaborate in resolving various types of issues. Excellent verbal as well as written communication skills and the ability to be effective within a team environment are essential for success in this role. Ability to speak Mandarin a plus.
