Actual Title of Role - Sourcing Assistant

The Sourcing Assistant Candidate will be responsible for managing and directing sourcing activities as related to the assigned Product Segments = CT Revolution Program.

Key purchasing interface between the product segment & engineering and global sourcing to ensure the Sourcing Initiatives are integrated in New Product Introduction. Key Focal Point for The Sourcing Initiatives: Early Supplier Engagement 3P Supplier Summit/Should Cost Vitality - PWA Mtl Technology Change Standardization Mtl Aggregation LCC ROHS Working with the cross functional team as a key member on executing the supplier, component and platform technology selection to meet the target cost.

Ensuring complete ROHS and REACH data is attain for compliance to the product environmental requirements.

Main work load will be sending RFQ to suppliers, PO Placement, Delivery Expediting using an ACCESS Database.

Key responsibilities include:

1. RFQ using Standard On line Process
2. Summarizing Competitive Quotations for Supplier Selection
3. Facilitation of Disruptive Cost Summits - Optimization based on Value Engineering concepts including the right part material, minimizing part complexity and reducing part assembly time.
4. Interpret assembly and assembly component drawings.
5. Identify cost drivers for each component (based on assembly or subassembly drawing).
6. Utilize "Should Cost" tools to analyze how much a component or assembly should cost.
7. Hold technical discussions with suppliers to identify the difference between supplier's costs and "should cost" tool results.
8. Work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Sourcing and Engineering.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or technical discipline
2. Purchasing Experience
3. Excellent communication, influencing and analytical skills with the ability to manage and develop supplier relationships
4. Experience with Value Engineering, Cost Reduction, Design Optimization, and/or Process Improvement.
5. Experience working with suppliers to understand manufacturing practices.
6. Demonstrated proficiency in conducting technical discussions and working with global teams.
7. Experience working with Oracle, Access, Excel.
