Field Engineer
Link Technologies is currently looking for a Field Engineer for an exciting contract opportunity in Las Vegas,NV.
MAJOR DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS
The Field Engineer will provide field support for of technologies that support the Guest Technology IP over coax solutions; including IP Video, Internet, and corporate systems data traffic.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience preferred
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKS:
- Field support expertise in cable HFC cable plants in an indoor/campus environment.
- Ability to design, troubleshoot and support RF coax based cable plants supporting DOCSIS and Video QAM/Analog.
- Expertise in video system component troubleshooting - including televisions, set-top-boxes, cable and modems.
- General knowledge of CableLabs DOCSIS and Cable Modem Termination System (CMTS).
- Working knowledge of wireless technologies such as WiFi.
- Working knowledge of HFC components including fiber nodes and associated transmit/receiving equipment.
- Self-motivated and result-oriented, good team player.
- Strong written and verbal skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong commitment to customer service.
- Proficient with MS Office tools.
