Document Controller
6 month Fixed Term Contract
£35,000 per annum plus excellent benefits
Gatwick Airport, the World's largest single runway airport, is seeking an experienced Document Controller to join its class leading delivery team as the airport develops its future £1.2 billion Capital Investment plan.
This is an exciting time in the development of the airport and offers a stimulating opportunity for a Document Controller with previous document control experience to develop their career further. The role is to provide a full range of document management services to the project teams, and support the Document Control manager in maintaining the Projects processes & procedures. This role plays an integral part of the Project team, and has thorough knowledge of the specified subject matters, such as engineering & construction records.
The main responsibilities for this role involve design document control, contractor/vendor document management, library and samples management, archiving and reprographic services.
Successful applicants must have:
- Understanding of a typical engineering construction project life cycle.
- Experience of documentation and work processes within an engineering and construction based environment
- Electronic Document management systems knowledge (Documentum preferred) - intermediate level.
- Working knowledge of computer programs for records tracking, archival, retention, and storage.
- Teamwork & Presentation skills
