Description
We are seeking Data Security Engineer for 6 month contract position in Duluth, GA.
The incumbent will be part of the Information Technology Services (ITS) organization responsible for maintaining and supporting the security tools, processes and procedures within ITS to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of infrastructure and applications.
Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (ie, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, etc.).
- 4-6 years experience in a technical security role with special interest in Full Disk Encryption (FDE) technologies. Experience in the following areas: network security, operating system security, Internet/web security, encryption/PC encryption, Firewalls, anti-malware, IDS/IPS, penetration & vulnerability testing.
- At least two years additional experience in a non-security technical IT role: development, networking, application support.
- Extensive job experience using the Microsoft operating systems.
- Evidence of information security education.
- Detailed knowledge of Information and IT security methods, tools, and techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support for selected security tools and processes that are standard within the infrastructure.
- Work individually or with a team to analyze new security tools for possible inclusion into the environment.
- Provide leadership in the planning and deployment of Full Disk Encryption software throughout the enterprise. Review existing toolsets for appropriate changes to increase the security controls within the environment.
- Develop process documentation for updates, patching, and software deployments.
- Monitor production deployment process with system support engineers from other network facilities.
- Identify potential security risks and implements appropriate countermeasures.
- Tracks and maintains compliance metrics as requested.
- Document or update security operations processes as needed
