8 months contract position of Perl Developer in Cincinnati, OH
Position Description:
Developer needed to assist with the Network Segmentation project. Developer will design, develop and test custom solutions identified by network engineers and lead developer. Identify and help resolve project-related technical issues.
Essential Job Functions:
Design, develop and test custom solutions for Network Segmentation project
Document work and cross train team on new development activities
Minimum Job Requirements:
3-5 years' experience in Linux administration and engineering (SUSE/SLES Preferred)
1-2 years' experience in network administration
1-2 years' experience in Perl development
Preferred Job Skills:
Knowledge of VMware Infrastructure Technologies
Knowledge of Networking in Linux
A basic understanding of SNMP
Experience with SCO OpenServer 5
Experience with HP network equipment
Non-Technical Requirements:
Candidate must have clear and concise oral and written communication skills
Candidate should have a basic understanding of change/release management practices
Candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Candidate must be able to work with others in a team environment
