Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer opportunity with a leading semiconductor organisation based in The Netherlands on a long term contract basis. Design Engineers will join a multi disciplined team developing state-of-the-art, high precision mechanical (sub) systems and components.Role Description:
Working on the design of one or more developments or issues, creating designs with a small team of mechanical experts in a project setting. Continuously improving the quality of mechanical designs.
* Specifies and designs the precision engineered parts for different (sub)systems.
Is concerned with the application of precision mechanical construction * principles.
* Realizes the qualification of the design by contributing to the specification of various tests.
* Designs and realizes test equipment and is responsible for ensuring that prototypes are built and tests are carried out.
* Is responsible for the technical product documentation.
Education
* BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering
Experience
* Recent MSc graduate with under 1 year experience or 2 years + experience and a BSc in Mechancial Engineering.
* Academic or industrial experience in design in a complex technical multi-disciplinary environment.
* Expert knowledge of precision engineering and CAD and able to carry out the design process from concept through implementation.
* Preferably knowledge or experience within the following competences: - Fatigue of elastic elements. - Dynamical behaviour of mechanical systems. - Advanced materials (tribology, coatings, outgassing, ceramics, etc.). - Joining technologies: fasteners, adhesives, welding, O-rings, etc.
