Location: StaffordshireJob Role: Software Engineer
Salary: £40,000 - £44,000 Negotiable dependent on experience.
Software Engineer needed to join a market leading automotive company in Staffordshire. As a more senior software engineer you will be taking more of a principle role being able to work closely with the teams. You will focused on the embedded software design and development through the full product life cycle in high performance control systems.
Ideally you will have the following experience:-
- Use of development tools including IDEs, compilers & assemblers, emulators & debuggers, configuration management tools
- Embedded software for 8-, 16- and 32-bit micro controllers using established company design practices and software lifecycles in line with the ISO2001:2008 quality system and high integrity design standards
- System requirements in collaboration with systems and hardware engineers to generate software requirements using formal methods
- C programming language, assembly language and automatic code generation from modelled environments
- Degree in an appropriate science or engineering discipline (e.g. Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics)
- Strong numerical skills
- Classical and/or digital control systems
- Real time control systems
- Understanding of software analysis methodologies e.g. Yourdon/UML
- Model-based development tools e.g. Matlab/Simulink
- Ability to interpret circuit schematics and a basic understanding of the operation of electronic circuits
