Systems Safety EngineerKey Responsibilities:
- Assume primary support role for Pro-Safe SLS safety control systems primarily hardwired but also ProSafe RS programmable where required (including 24 hour call out rota)
- Assist senior personnel in developing / maintaining all necessary procedures & documentation associated with IEC certification.
- To assist in technical preparation and review of quotations for safety system support, modifications and projects.
- To assist with Training when requested, and to ensure full conversancy with the latest versions of Safety Shutdown.
- Plan and control allocated work within time and budget constraints.
- Develop customer awareness of Yokogawa safety engineering capabilities.
- Maintain a medical/survival registration for offshore working
- To offer technical help to customers both external and internal.
- To assist with the design, installation and commissioning of systems in conjunction with the commissioning team.
- To assist in the maintenance of the demonstration equipment and customer training equipment.
- Whilst the role calls for an emphasis on safety, it is expected that a full and flexible approach will be adopted for all Technical Engineering requirements.
- To update the Technical supervisor on all relevant matters at all times.
- To be flexible in working environment and location, in theUKand Overseas, consistent with good working practices and those countries theUKgovernment consider a safe location to visit.
- Performing Preventative and Shutdown maintenance.
- Able to support general administration activities both technical and non-technical.
- Provide technical assistance and mentoring to less experienced members of the department.
- Review and check the work of others i.e Peer checking
