Software testing engineer to validate our applications against requirements for security, usability, and functionality.Qualifications:
2+ years experience in software testing and quality assurance, which should include the following experience:
* Working in a heterogeneous software development and deployment environment including UNIX, Mac OS X, Windows.
* Writing test plans for specific software functionality.
* Configuration of test-automation software (e.g., Selenium IDE, SilkTest) and development of scripts.
* Working knowledge of relational database management systems (e.g., MySQL)
* Testing software developed for a regulated industry and/or medical industry.
* Reporting and tracking software defects using Atlassian software (JIRA, Greenhopper, Confluence), or equivalent.
Job Responsibilities:
In addition to performing activities outlined above:
* Provide software quality assurance to a cross-functional Scrum team responsible for developing software products and services using an Agile process.
* Attend and participate in the Development team's daily stand-up meetings.
* Participate in Customer team workshops and meetings that identify software requirements and user acceptance criteria.
* Develop and maintain test plans, test data, and test cases necessary for validation of software products.
* Evaluate and recommend testing techniques, methods, and third-party testing tools.
* Peer-review test plans, test cases, and test results to ensure the testing is thorough and complete.
* Execute test plans and document results of testing. Use JIRA to record detailed descriptions of any defects encountered.
* Track resolution of reported defects. Collaborate with the Development team to thoroughly investigate and conclusively validate fixes for reported defects.
* Develop and execute performance benchmark tests. Report results to Development team.
* Provide quality metrics using software quality assurance standards for determining software release readiness.
* Produce documentation and artifacts required as evidence of software validation, as specified by the SDLC SOP.
* Become knowledgeable concerning regulations (e.g., 21 CFR part 11, HIPPA) applicable to the software to be tested. Ensure that testing of software products includes evaluation for regulatory compliance.
