Responsibilities
  • Manage accounts in the company's Central America AR portfolio. The portfolio is valued at approximately USD 45 million.
  • Collect delinquent accounts and draft customized communications to customers.
  • Coordinate shipment release for held orders based on the status of the account in relation to its credit line and/or delinquency.
  • Interface with Central American customer service, sales, and finance to resolve delinquencies and discrepancies.
  • Monitor collections issues and make recommendations for legal action in accordance with the company's credit policy.

SKILLS

Fluency in English and Spanish required; must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages. BBA (or equivalent) in a business discipline preferred. Two years of collections or collections-related (Customer Service, Finance, etc.) experience preferred. Corporate experience a plus. Experience with Oracle preferred. Experience with financial shared services preferred. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to interact with customers across countries and markets are crucial for success in this role. Must be an active learner who can handle high-volume workload and organize competing priorities. Must have 1-3 years of Financial/Accounting experience and excellent Excel skills.

MOST CRITICAL SKILLS:

Spanish fluent with international and corporate collections experience. Need to be a team player who can get along with a diverse team, an agile learner that does not need constant direction.
