FinXL IT Professional Services is an established innovative Australian company providing technology enabled business solutions and consulting services across a number of industries including Telecommunications, Government and Finance.
The Role:
FinXL currently are looking to engage a strong Ruby developer to work on one of their key client sites, providing expertise within a fast moving agile delivery environment across online services and sales Portals.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a start up environment that is now maturing into a very successful operation and has another 18 months - 2 years worth of volume work.
The position will suit someone who is delivery focused that likes to work in a collaborative team environment and drive the success of an organisation. To be successful, you will need to have demonstrable commercial experience developing rich and engaging web based applications using Ruby on Rails.
Skills and Experience required:
- Proven development experience with a minimum of 2 years using Ruby on Rails
- JavaScript/jQuery/HTML/XHTML/CSS
- PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Familiarity with Agile Methodology
- Experience with Paired Programming or at minimum understanding and happy to work within this type of structure (60-100% for most projects)
- Exposure to Linux operating systems is highly desired
- Strong Communicator and able to work within a team Dynamic
