A SharePoint Administrator is required for a long term contract opportunity in Valencia, Spain. You will be contracting with a global and internationally recognised organisation and providing systems administration within a team of consultants at this client`s new facility. This is a shift based contract in an English speaking environment providing second level support services.

SharePoint Administrator Responsibilities:
* Day-to-day SharePoint and SQL top second level support and maintenance
* Troubleshooting and administration tasks related to SharePoint, SQL, Windows, and other related technologies.
* Handle service requests using the internal request fulfilment process
* Ensure access is granted to systems for authorized users and preventing access to non-authorized users by using the internal access Management process.

Essential Skills and Experience:
* Five years or more of professional experience in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector.
* Very good experience in SharePoint, SQL and other Windows technologies. Preferably with ICT service providers supporting a large network infrastructure. Including the abilities to Monitor, troubleshoot and configure managed services, information policies, security and performance.
* Must have the ability to manage and apply updates, patches, bug fixes and other deployments to the SharePoint farm.
* Very good experience with the use of Monitoring tools such as HPOV NNM, Microsoft SCOM, SCCM, and general Event Management exposure.
* Knowledge of LAN, WAN and Internet technologies.
* Microsoft certifications are highly desirable.
* Good knowledge of operating systems, data communications, software packages and network utilities,
* Practical experience with Storage Area Networks.
* Practical experience with data recovery software operations
* Practical experience with Virtual technologies (VMware, Hyper-v)
* Good knowledge in disaster recovery and data protection software
* Good knowledge of Scripting for monitoring, task automation, etc.
* Familiar with Service Management tools (Ticketing systems).
* University degree in computer or information science, mathematics or related field.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Knowledge of Service Management best practices (ITIL) would be an advantage.
