An opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career and join one of the leading (Top 5) Pharma companies in the world.

Strong management skills and experience are required as this role is heavily focused around leading the Medical Affairs function, managing a team of Medical and Scientific Advisors, Medical Science Liaisons and Sales professionals.

This role sits in the company's Primary Care department, mainly looking after their Respiratory portfolio, including COPD & Asthma products.

You will be able to take ownership of the strategy for Medical Affairs and Clinical Development.

This role welcomes applicants from medical backgrounds and those from scientific backgrounds. You do not need to be medically qualified to apply.

A minimum of five years experience in either Medical Affairs or Clinical Development and experience having managed a team of at least 1-3 people is required.

The ideal candidate will have Respiratory experience, Medical Affairs AND Clinical Development experience, an enthusiastic, positive and outgoing personality with the ability to inspire and lead.

The salary for this is very competitive and comes with an attractive package.

This is a role for someone who has managed a small team before and would be excited by the opportunity to expand on that and manage a larger team.

Responsible for medical success of global TA development projects and local trials at the CPO level.

Drive Medical Affairs in the local business franchises and ensure alignment between global project strategy & local CPO needs.

Build scientific partnerships Phase II forward with healthcare professionals and decision makers to build advocacy.

Strategically prepare and support the development, launch and commercialization of drug products through education of Medical Experts/ Key Stakeholders, clinical trial support, and by the scientific exchange seeking external insight to shape Company's commercial and development programs.
