Position Summary:

The U.S. Sr. Product Manager will be responsible for direct product line management of Cataract Equipment and Disposable product portfolio. This includes all aspects of the marketing plan such as developing launch and brand strategies, implementing tactical brand execution and ensuring that product revenue goals are achieved per quarter/per year.

Individual will be skilled at developing strategic annual marketing plans including identification of critical issues and key actions within an estimated budget. This plan will include a situational analysis and tactical marketing programs such as eye care professional (ECP) materials, rep-selling materials, communication strategies, and a key opinion leader plan.

Develop successful communication strategies, campaigns and collateral messaging for customers. Must coordinate and synthesize all product campaigns with marketing director to ensure messages are cohesive across Global or U.S. Marketing.

Understand broad market research designs, develops market research programs and demonstrates an in-depth understanding of commercial goals behind research.

Manages and maintains strong productive relationships with KOLs, building advocates, market influencers, and market develop initiatives and balancing the voice-of-customer (VOC) through in-depth continuous conversations.

Ability to forecast product lines for short-term and long-term accuracy based on market development, sales trends, competition and changing market dynamics.

Maintains a strong relationship with the sales team, clinical specialists, and sales training to ensure effective and optimal integration marketing plans.

Develops market analysis tools that provide competitive activity, reimbursement, economic trends, and communication strategies (i.e. key opinion leader plan).

Manages overall brand/business budgets encompassing campaigns, publications, product line growth, mentoring others on budgeting process and controlling budgets within set guidelines.

Actively respond to competitive threats and create strategies to overcome new threats.

Assess and understand market share, pricing, ASPs, competitive dynamics.

Ability to supervise, guide and develop at least one direct report.

Direct and manage agencies relationship on product and collaborate on strategy and execution of marketing tactics.

Specific Job Duties :

Possess strong clinical knowledge, experience and technical knowledge of the where B+L products are used or intended to be used, understand the purchasing process and challenges for product adoption in complex healthcare networks.

Must maintain excellent analytical and communication skills that include written, verbal and presentation in nature.

Should be able to mentor others on communication methods and presentation skills.
Present and communicate with Sr. Leadership on Marketing plans, issues, etc. Be able to provide strategic insight and recommendations on the best plan of action in the execution of strategies.

Must be highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Needs to be experienced in creating launch programs and product life-cycle strategies.

Ability to utilize data/information in order to articulate and support strategy development.

Ability to manage complex product lines, often diverse in nature.

Exhibits excellent collaborative skills working closely with cross-functional team, marketing peers and leaders, and managing needs and messaging to upper management.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree is required, with emphasis in business and/or marketing is preferred

Master's required

Experience in medical device required

Minimum of 5 years marketing experience required

Ophthalmology experience preferred

Experienced managing multiple products in the healthcare environment, GPO experience a plus

Previous management experiences preferred

Mentoring marketing talent desired
