Contracts EngineerDepartment: Supply Chain
Reports to: Contracts Manager
Job Description:
- Preparation and administration of Contracts, including the following:
- Master Service Agreements (MSA);
- Service Agreements and amendments;
- Vessel Charters;
- Drilling Contracts;
- EPC Contracts;
- Major Items Contracts.
- Ensure compliance with Contracts and Purchasing Procedure
- Review and negotiation of Contract terms and conditions
- Assist Contract Sponsors in preparing Contract Strategies, Scopes of Work, rate schedules and other documents as required to prepare Contracts or Invitations to Tender documents
- Prepare and issue Invitations to Tender documents, perform all aspects of Tender Administration including evaluation, clarifications, negotiations, recommendation and award etc.
- Administer and monitor contract extensions/terminations
- Maintain Contracts Databases and files (electronic and hard copy)
- Participate in Contractor Performance Reviews
Experience/Qualifications:
- Over 5 years' experience in oil and gas operations in a contracts environment
- Experience of subsea, drilling, well services, operations, engineering and logistics contracts would be beneficial
- Confident individual with sound commercial awareness, contract knowledge and good negotiating skills
- Familiar with North Sea contracting forms (eg LOGIC)
- Relevant degree (Law, QS, Business Studies or similar)
- Effective interpersonal skills with excellent oral and written communications
- Capable of working both on own initiative and within a team environment to strict deadlines
- Computer literate - working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages essential
