My client, a QLD based Government Department is seeking the expertise of a Project Manager who has experience leading Windows 7 Upgrade projects/SOE Desktop Upgrade.

This is a 10 week contract based in Brisbane.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Manage the delivery of high profile ICT projects, relating to outsourcing of government services, through effective project planning, resourcing, coordination, monitoring, reporting, budget, risk and issue management.
  • Maintain and apply high-level knowledge of project management methodologies, software development life cycle and quality assurance processes.
  • Assist clients with the articulation of business needs, development of project proposals, funding approvals and user requirements.
  • Provide high-level timely and accurate project reporting that provides visibility of status, dependencies, issues and risks.
  • Provide leadership to staff by fostering personal qualities including enthusiasm, professionalism, commitment, accountability and demonstrated ethical behavior.
  • Experience of business transformational change projects, including projects involving migration between IT applications

Requirements:

  • Must have demonstrated previous experience in leading Windows 7 upgrade projects
  • Knowledge of QLD Government IT environment
  • Minimum 4 years experience managing complex ICT infrastructure projects
  • Must have PRINCE2 certification (or equivalent
