Service delivery manager wanted for our end client in the Hague!

Hourly rate: 70,00


We are looking for a candidate who can manage and develop the overall service landscape (consisting of EDSL Middleware support partner, the underpinning Infrastructure Provisioning, and all other support flows and interactions with application and database support groups consuming the service). Next to that, the candidate needs to act as Product Owner, owning bug and enhancement lists and help translate specific requirements from the connecting application and database owners into EDSL Product Roadmaps, within the IT Architectural frameworks. For this, a strong technical background and exposure to connectivity and Middleware problems in a complex environment is required.

Since in the early stages of this service the job is expected to take less than 100% of available time, the candidate may be requested to assist in support of related products such as OpenSpirit.

Main activities:

Service Management:
- Manage the service delivery provided by strategic partner around 2nd line EDSL/JBOSS support. Set and monitor KPIs around Incident/Problem/Change management;
- Document, maintain and improve service performance metrics together with the strategic partner.
- Integrate support provided by various groups which together make up the entire EDSL Landscape. This includes the service delivery of the infrastructure components as provided by network and hosting services.
- Handle incident escalations
- Configuration management
- End-to-end monitoring and problem management across all technical areas
- Plan and manage Service enhancements and associated capacity, resources and licensing

Product Management:
- Establish and maintain a network of key stakeholders
- Sollicit product requirements and service enhancement opportunities
- Stay aligned with IT Architecture
- Maintain bug and enhancement lists
- Maintain roadmaps and release schedules

Must have:
- Technically excellent - at least 2 years hands on experience with Middleware data service products and connectivity requirements in a enterprise architecture environment. (JBoss a preference, although related products considered - PowerHub, Siemens XHQ etc)
- Knowledge and experience of relational databases (Oracle/SQL)
- Strong understanding and proven use of the ITIL service processes and tools with the ability to think from both the customer and service viewpoint
- Strong communication skills - spoken and written. Is able to communicate technical analysis to stakeholders and updates within the team alike.
- Be able to work with various specialized multinational support teams to bring complex requests or problems to timely resolution.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
- Highly motivated with good organization, communication, and team working skills, for instance demonstrated in a Technical Project Lead or Project Management role.

- Experience participating in a virtual team of people delivering global services/projects
- Experience in multinational/multicultural enterprise.

- Oil Industry and specifically Subsurface and Wells background.

The successful candidates may be required to perform out of hours work.
