Middleware Senior Software Engineer - 12 months - Brussels
Middleware Senior Software Engineer needed for a 12 month contract that will be based in Brussels, Belgium. This is to start ASAP. Please find the job description below:
As a member of the software team, you are responsible for:
- Analysing user requirements, functional and others (performance, usability);
- Planning, estimating and tracking effort and progress;
- Designing, coding, refactoring software components;
- Specifying, implementing, automated test cases;
- Reporting and fixing issues in the software;
- Participating in reviews (design, code, tests).
Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree or any equivalent combination of training and experience, be fluent in English, and are expected to demonstrate outstanding software development skills, in particular in the following areas:
- Programming language: a combination of Javascript and either Java, C++ or C# would be ideal;
- General development: multi-threading, databases, networking;
- Design and analytical skills: data modelling; UML; performance analysis;
- Ability to work well, both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
